SHOOT was born out of a simple dream; to once again farm the family land that had produced crops since 1801. There was one difference this go-around. Megan wanted to farm without toxic or persistent agricultural chemicals, cultivating crops by using sustainable farming practices. In Summer 2012, the very first USDA certified organic heirloom tomato was produced, marking the start of a new generation of family farming in Roanoke, Alabama.
